Jacking force model for steel pipes accounts for circumferential deformation
A team from China proposed a method for calculating the jacking force of straight steel pipes that accounts for circumferential pipe deformation and redistribution of earth pressure. The usual rigid-pipe assumptions lead to errors in large-diameter design.
